ASUU Unveils When Strike Will Be Called Off

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has revealed that its members are prepared to return to classrooms if the government plays its roll well by conducting an integrity test on the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS).

Well, ASUU created the payment platform, UTAS, as a direct replacement for the rejected Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) created by the government.

And in an interview with The Punch, Biodun Ogunyemi, the ASUU President, disclosed that what is holding the union from calling off the 7-month long strike is due to the fact that the government is yet to give clearance to National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to conduct integrity test on UTAS.
