Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie Reveals How His Dad Discouraged Him From Becoming A Wrestler


Multi award -winnin Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has disclosed he had wanted to become a wrestler while growing up but his dad denied him the chance.

Wrestling was the biggest sport a while back as it was shown on numerous tv channels back in the days when local contents were few.

A lot of kids were fascinated by it as most idolized the wrestlers and tried the stunts at home even when the federation had warned viewers not to try any of the stunts seen on their screens at home because it could end in fatality.

The thespian has disclosed that he was one of those kids who had love for wrestling and wanted to take it up as a career but his dad, Peter Edochie, the great iroko refused him that chance to become a professional wrestler and a superstar.

Regardless of him not being permitted to pursue her dreams, Yul has become a master of what he does today. He has impacted lives by converting his energy and mind into his acting career.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, he wrote;

“While growing up, at a time I wanted to be a wrestler. My idols were @JohnCena@TripleH and @undertaker I even told my father about my dream to be a wrestler. His reaction is a story for another day.”
