Young Schoolgirls smoking shisha in viral video suspended as Government of Lagos State orders their rehabilitation

Last week, the schoolgirls smoking shisha in viral video, while still in their school uniforms have been suspended and the Government of Lagos State has ordered their rehabilitation.

Well, in the disturbing short video the young girls were caught on camera in a sitting room taking turns to smoke shisha through the pipe.

As per Vanguard, the 5 young female students have now been identified as students of Oreyo Senior Grammar School, Igbogbo, Ikorodu area of the state.

Tokunbo Wahab, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, revealed that the state government has ordered for their rehabilitation with immediate effect.

In his words,

“Appropriate steps are being taken to address the issue with the aim of preventing future occurrence in the state.

“The appropriate ministry is already intervening. You see why the role of parents is so critical. We can’t leave everything to government and school. This is heart wrenching.”
