Lauretta Onochie, the new media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has been rejected by the Senate as a Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the report of the Chairman of the screening Committee, Kabiru Gaya, Onochie did not satisfy the provisions of the Federal Character Principle.
Her nomination was hence voted against by the members of the committee.
