JUST IN: Kano state Governor, Gov. Ganduje relaxes lockdown.


Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje, the Kano state Governor, has declared the relaxation of the Presidential lockdown directives enforced on the state.

However, on Saturday, 2nd May, 2020, the Gov. announced 2 free days for stocking up during this lockdown period.

Governor Ganduje added that Mondays and Thursday would be lockdown free days from 10am to 4pm.

Remember that President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered a total lockdown in Kano State for 14 days  during his national broadcast on Monday, 27th May, 2020.

Meanwhile, as stated by Nigerian Info, Ganduje disclosed that no market would be open except for supermarkets.

He also said that the list of the supermarkets would be announced on local radio stations.

Furthermore, the Gov. added that is only Yan Lemo Market, and Yankaba Market, where perishable items are sold, would be allowed to open on Mondays and Thursdays 10am to 4pm.
